I’m trying to work out how to encrypt a folder and all its contents as a self-extracting file. It seems that you can only encrypt individual files.

Any ideas?

I don’t think there is a way round that to be honest. I’m willing to be corrected though. :)
You could use the SFX Wizard and create a password protected SFX from that. Though that’s not exactly what you are asking for.

It looks like I will have to resort to creating an SFX file and then encrypt that. Does seem clunky!

It’s not really that clunky honestly.
Just click on the SFX wizard, select a destination and select your folder. Click next, select protect with password, type in your password, click next. Job done. :)

Yes unfortunately so that’s why I put in my first post

Though that’s not exactly what you are asking for.

The only other option is to create the SFX then encrypt that and yes I agree that would be a clunkier solution.

Oh and if this is something that you would like to see in a future version you could make a post in the wishlist forum
