I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Feature Request: Delete files after extraction.

Hi
I was wondering if it was possible to have a feature that would optionally delete the files added to an archive after the archiving process has been completed. Does not have to be secure delete (Recycling bin works too :D)

Did you miss the other thread on this?

Hi
I was wondering if it was possible to have a feature that would optionally delete the files added to an archive after the archiving process has been completed. The thread TBGBe refers to is about deleting the archive after successful extraction. This is about delete the files adding to an archive after the archiving process has been completed.
Personally I don’t want this feature in PA for the same reason I don’t want the option to delete archives after successful extraction. It will increase the risk of loosing data for the user.
Deleting of files and archives should be done manually by the user and if something goes wrong, then PA can’t be blamed for loosing data.
That’s my opinion
Kind Regards

The discussion referring to safety/security still applies and so does the optionality :p
Problem then becomes how many options you have to select from just to add/extract a file.
However, I was referring to the title of this thread “Delete files after extraction”
deleting after adding would be to “move to archive” rather than “add to archive”. -
My apologies :(
I am not sure how I missed the move to archive option.
Please lock and/or delete this thread.
