Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Mount as 'Virtual Drive'

I find the new ‘shell’ extension very handy indeed…
how big a task would it be however to give us a similar option to ‘unmount’ them?just curious.
-
PA Starter has unmount option, and one of the next versions will get Mount/Unmount for Win7 jumplists too.
Not sure about unmount in shell though, presumably it would have to detect if anything is mounted first and i dont know if that might take some time or not (if it does then it couldnt be used)
-
I was thinking of some way whereby a ‘mounted’ image would be indicated by a disc icon in ‘systray’ and ‘right’ clicking on it or hovering over it would display the mounted images giving you the opportunity to unmount.
it’s just a thought…:)
-
you can do that with Starter, why another icon?
-
yes understood.
I’m not a user of the ‘starter’ option though…most of my work is done via ‘shell’…just thought it may have been an option for the future. -
i know, but as starter already has that option, doesnt make sense in creating two system tray apps.
