PA 2010 Bug: .tar.gzp Problem
-
The file downloads here:
http://digital-haze.net/vnds.php
Mainly the VNDS files such as thiis one
http://digital-haze.net/files/vnds/vnds/vnds-1.5.1.tar.gz
Do not extract with PA 2010 if you choose the Extract to Folder or Extract Here.
-
did you try with RC1? There were some changes with regards to .gz decompression and i tried it and it works fine (although ie saved it as .tar.tar file, had to rename it to tar.gz)
-
I’m using 11.50.48 (The latest I believe as of writing this) and still having problems with the tar.gz archives from that site. PA can open them just fine but I have problems when it comes to extracting them.
-
what happens when you extract them? Are they saved properly to your hard disk as tar.gz?
-
Well, I right click on the file and choose Extract Here/Extract to /File and Power Archiver opens, I see a progress bar and nothing is extracted.
-
did you check extension of downloaded file?
make sure it is not called tar.tar.
