Search not working in Opera browser
-
If I am viewing the overall forum “PowerArchiver Forums” then the search link is working.
If I enter a specific forum “General”; “Tech Support” etc. then the search link does nothing.
If I am viewing a thread, then the search works again. As a check, I tried again using the SRware Iron browser (based on Google Chrome) and the same thing happens.
So I tried in Firefox 3.1b3 and the same thing happens.
I don’t know if it is related as I am no expert on this - but when I view source of a specific forum where search is not working, I see that the and elements (minus the css styling) are repeated as the first statements within the element. This is also the same in all three browsers.
edit - can’t change title to remove Opera as the problem is not specific to that browser.
-
I can confirm that, doesn’t work for me either.

we know

use the ‘advanced search’ as seen in the screenshot…works fine.
PA team have been aware of it for sometime…:)

use the ‘advanced search’ as seen in the screenshot…works fine.
PA team have been aware of it for sometime…:)But only if it is available !!
If I enter a specific forum “General”; “Tech Support” etc. then the search link does nothing.
Doesn’t open anything, so advanced is not available either.

sorry guys you’re right…
I never knew it didn’t work when searching from a specific ‘forum’…I made the assumption the ‘advanced’ search was fine from anywhere in the forum…:(
-
That’s OK - getting used to using “main” thread list for searching by now :p
-
it will get fixed when we update the forums software, when they release new version…
-
fixed now
-
So it is.

Yes (finally :p ).
