Disable temp folder?
-
Hi
Is there any way to disable the temp folder? I find it very annoying that the program always have to copy the content after its unpacked.
Thanks.

temp for extraction? Where are you seeing that?
You have “use current folder as temp” under Config> Misc> Speed.thanks!

Thanks, just what I was looking for! :D

I have the same problem but the recommendation is not going to work. First, when I download files they go to a download directory. I then may need to unzip to run an EXE, unzip to extract the file to some location, or drag some of the files or a folder from the archive to some location. I never really had a case where I extract the archive to the current location of the archive or to some common location.
I would like to simply extract the archive to the target location without PA unzipping to the temp location and then copying to the target location.
Is this how most users are using PA? Extracting to a common location or to the current location.

My bad, if I extract all or some files to a location PA does not first extract to temp folder and then copy. It does however extract to temp and then copy when I drag files/folders from the archive to a location.

yep, drag&drop temp is required due to Win7/Vista, but otherwise, PA does not extract to temp when using shell or main PA.

Confirmed that it works in XP but requires temp in Vista. I go back and forth between XP and Vista so often it’s hard to keep track of what is happening :)
