After upgrading to PA 11.50.30, I noticed this problem.

So I uninstalled - reboot - installed.
On opening (unregistered) in classic, the choose interface dialogue appeared; I chose modern and PA restarted correctly.
After entering registration codes, switching interface from Modern to Classic and PA shut down, but did not restart automatically.
Restarting it was in Classic and switching from Classic to Modern, again PA shut down but did not restart.

So the interface switch is being applied, but PA does not restart automatically.

just did more testing…
I find it now only happens to me when I’m using the explorer view…see screenshot.

if I don’t use that view then it reopens immediately.

Start PA; it is using classic default (Preview amd folder open) - see screenshot.

Select menu : View/Toolbars / Modern
PA closes and does not restart.

Start PA from Start Menu - Modern Blue (with folder & Preview) is active.

Yes, with Beta 2 (11.50.37) PA does restart after switching interface.

(Previous problem losing Q.A.T. is back however - I’ll put that in different thread).
