PA2009 error

  • I have installed PA2009 and when I right click on a zip file and try to unzip it, an error box pops up and all it says is Interface not supported and won’t unpack the zip file. There is no error number just the mention error. I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit version if that helps.

    @nugar:

    1. did you install PA 2009 over PA 2007?
    2. And did you restart your computer afterwards?

    3. What happened when you opened that file in PA and try extracting through main window?
    4. You are using Beta 5?

    thank you!

  • I did a fresh install of PA2009 not over the top of PA2007, and yes I did restart the PC after installation of PA2009. If I open the file in the main window and not by right clicking the file I can extract it with no worries at all, it’s only when I right click the file and try to extract it that this problems occur. I am not sure if it’s beta five or not, as there seems to be no way of telling in the main window, now help button or about button. It is the latest version on the web site to download though. Another thing if I right click and extract the file another small window opens up and all it has is the title power archiver 2009, and on the bottom there are 3 radio buttons labeled left to right, Corelbutton1,with a drop down arrow next to it, pause and Cancelbutt. Hope this is helpfull.

    You can check version in Help> About.

  • Fixed, seems I had installed the version prior to the lastest beta version, once the beta version was installed the problem disappeared, thanks for the help all the same.
