Command prompt issues (b3)
-
are you actually talking anout the command line version pacl
I believe he is talking about “command Prompt” sub-window in PA.
“Options/ Command Prompt”.… it should function just like windows command prompt.
Not sure about this. It is a PowerArchiver command prompt - all the PA keyboard shorcuts are “active”. So PA only passes input to windows if it is not a PA command.
-
Yes, the built in command prompt sub window. If ctrl-C won’t work, then how do you propose canceling a command without closing PA?
-
There is also no way to copy/paste from the command window, which I frequently need to do. Can this also be implemented?
-
Check with beta 5 via web update… should work fine :)
-
well, ctrl-c works for copy and ctrl-v for paste, but ctrl-c doesn’t abort a command like ping -t that normall runs forever (have to close PA), and there is still an annoying few spaces between each reply.
-
I really wanted to make PA my “go to” application to replace windows explorer and command prompt, but these command prompt issues are just total dealbreakers for me…i hope you can revisit these issues now that PA 2010 is out the door :).
-
which ones? ctrl-c?
-
yes, and the extraneous spacing between command replies.
-
doesnt seem so hard to fix.
-
good to hear :) looking forward to an update! Oh, and btw, fantastic work on PA2010.
