PA 21.00.18 running on Windows 7 64 bit.
I made a big .PA file and thought I’d check it was made correctly with Menu / Actions / Test.
Discovered:
a) PA always issues a UAC prompt to do this!
b) PA always says there are many errors in PA files.
WinRAR 5 has a rather useful option in some cases, which is to be able to create an archive by replacing identical files with a reference to the first occurrence (hardlink) within the archive.
In case you choose to convert the file with PowerArchiver to another format, however, the resulting archive does not have all the files. It does not consider those that were present as hardlinks.
If you do a normal extraction of the RAR archive instead, even with PowerArchivier, all the files are extracted correctly.
Unclear Download Info

Hi PA,
A very simple fix that shouldnt take long.
When browsing threw the forums I noticed a mention that a find issue was now fixed in PA 10.20.21. I at the time had 10.20.20 which to me was the most up todate version.
I visited the download page to which only shows
“PowerArchiver 2007, Version 10.2”Although it provides a date of upload is it possible to show the full Version number?
Also the setup file “powarc1020” if possible this could be updated to reflect the true version “powerarc102021”
Many Thanks

Thanks spwolf for the quick response! I like the idea of the news site! I have subscribed the Powerarchiver newsletter but have yet received an email.
However, I and many other users problably have powerarchiver.com open on their Browser all day to check forums etc so a news page would be ideal!
