10.20.02 with old toolbar startup funny
-
I’m using 10.20.02 beta with the old style toolbar. When I start PowerArchiver with no archive part of the window is “see-through” and my wallpaper shows through. Image1.png is attached showing the effect.

interesting… what happens when you set defaults?

Not sure which defaults you refer to.
As soon as I start to use it it redraws correctly.

Okay, maybe it’s something specific to the particular video drivers on my system. Wait and see if anyone else reports it.

Good Point Brian, are there any updates for the current video card?
-
I’ve tried on my Vista and my XP machine and seems to work fine each time. I have ATI cards.
-
Have it too. It only happens on the desktop.
-
I think it has something to do with the the Grid component. I have a dutch windows, maybe this is creates the problem.
-
I seem to have fixed this. It stopped when I uninstalled Novatix Cyberhawk. Maybe it was some weird interaction between Cyberhawk and either PowerArchiver or my ATI display drivers.

Updating my ATI video drivers is rather complicated and error prone. Also it’s somewhat vague as to which is the latest version that still supports my ancient video card.

-
Nope. Have no idea what that is.
-
b3.07 still has this problem.
-
this is a known fault with vista which i have been told is in the process of being fixed by microsoft. It basically is the combination of old video cards and new software like powerarchiver which use new componets that vista have to offer. no time scale was given when i relaed this problem to microsoft though they say they are looking into it
-
That’s funny. Mine is on XP :)
-
Have youi changed your browser recently as i know that, that can cause the problem. Can you let us know what updates are on your system and youir system specs.

not fixed in .08
