Question About Write Multi-Volume ZIP

hi
i have a zip file with the size of 119 MB and the file exist in drive C:
and i want to split it into two files so i can upload it to Rapidshare
alright i enter the powerarchiver and i selected the option Write Multi-Volume ZIP but in the size field:
when i select automatic it tells me“Automatic spanning is only possible for removable drives”
when i type the size 99 MB it tells me
“Error in custom sizes for zip volume”

so what is the problem here ?

Well…
1)“automatic” uses the size of the destination drive so can only be for removable drives.- When you want 99MB you should enter 99000 as the volume size is entered in kBytes - you cannot enter units such as MB, GB etc

So in the “Size” box you only typed
99000
but still get the message :confused:
What version of PowerArchiver (see Help/About)? -
what version of PA are you using? I tried with 10.11 and it works just fine.

can you try with latest version and report back thanks plus can we have your system specs like windows version 2000 xp or vista

ok i tried the version 10.11 and it worked just fine
i splitted the file into twoit gave two file:
1. Spanned.zip 23,074kb
2. Spanned.z01 99,000but i thought that the two files will be with ZIP extention

No, if that was so - all files would have the same filename :eek:
Spanned archives will have filenames
xx.zip
xx.z01
xx.z02
xx.z03 etcThis is described in help file.
