and i want to split it into two files so i can upload it to Rapidshare

alright i enter the powerarchiver and i selected the option Write Multi-Volume ZIP but in the size field:
when i select automatic it tells me

    Well…
1)“automatic” uses the size of the destination drive so can only be for removable drives.

    1. When you want 99MB you should enter 99000 as the volume size is entered in kBytes - you cannot enter units such as MB, GB etc

  • it tells me the same thing

“Error in custom sizes for zip volume”

  • So in the “Size” box you only typed

    99000

but still get the message 😕
What version of PowerArchiver (see Help/About)?

i splitted the file into two

    it gave two file:

    1. Spanned.zip 23,074kb
    2. Spanned.z01 99,000

but i thought that the two files will be with ZIP extention

No, if that was so - all files would have the same filename
    Spanned archives will have filenames
    xx.zip
    xx.z01
    xx.z02
    xx.z03 etc

This is described in help file.
