Annoyance in PowerArchiver 10.10.08 Beta
-
I used to be able to make PowerArchiver start with Desktop selected at the root of the folder tree in the left hand folder part of the main window but now the tree is opened and “C:\Documents and Settings\BrianG\Desktop” deep in the tree is selected.
The best fix you could do is add another option to “Startup Location” in the configuration which makes it start on Desktop at the root of the tree with the tree nicely closed up.
I suggest this rather than simply returning to the previous operation because manually changing all the “Start In:” in all my PowerArchiver shortcuts to “%HOMEPATH%\Desktop” after every upgrade was beginning to piss me off. As far as I can see this was the only way to have it start in Desktop for all users.

Thanks!
From the Beta 2, you will be able to select Desktop folder as Startup location -> Folder: e.g. C:\Users\user\Desktop\ and PA will follow you to root folder of folder-tree the way you described.
