double click on plugin and click Yes when it asks you to install?

Then add the file type (extension) with the ‘.’ - this has changed :D
However I agree with davidsplash - this should be covered in the help file -
this is not covered in the help file how to download plugins as firefox just displays them as rubbish on the screen instaed of downloading them.

I think it is a server config problem.
The PA Plug-ins page seems to be configured to provide the ppf files as “text/plain” - hence browsers try to display them. -

Yes, “save target as” works - once you know what the problem is.
