PA 2007 - gzip file won't extract
-
I came a cross a file that is simply a text file that is gzipped (so it’s not really an archive). PA 2007 (Beta 5) opens the .Z file just fine, but when I try to extract the file, it doesn’t seem to do anything (no extracted file shows up in the destination).
PA can definitely handle the file, since if I do an “Action/view…” into my text editor, it shows up fine.
The file can be found here: http://www.cs.toronto.edu/pub/parallel/Krieger_etal_ICPP93.ps.Z
Note: the contents is a PostScript file, but as far as PA is concerned, the contents should be the same as any text (I think).
