Hi,
It seem that there is a bug in handling rar archive:
please check in more details but
I have attached rar archive with one file in cyrillic and one english - currently I can’t extract it at all nor through shell extension neither from main window (exployer view) and also drag and drop function don’t work for it (if you try to move file from archive to desktop you can’t do it).
Further in progress bar cyrillic name are shown in incorrect way

I have beta 2 and I was able to extract both files.
Archive also tested ok with both winrar and PA.

Anyone have any trouble?

Also no problem extracting.

Although I am unable to verify if the filename of the png is correct :p

As stated below in Beta2, PA nor I found any problems with this archive. It opened fine.

I must note, that file name: as stated by Sir Richard â¥áâ.png is incorrect - should be тест.png, but it may be because he has Windows w/o Cyrillic installed. If required I can make screen shot how the file should be named. Further does drag and drop feature work?
May be this because you all use non-Cyrillic versions of Windows => I’ll test on my work PC on Monday - it has WinXP Pro English as at home I use WinXP Home Russian.

Well that is the filename I see when opening inside PA.
But not after extracting - hence my previous comment.
But I have English Windows - even with language pack it may not be correct.
Is the (incorrect) filename the problem you were having?
Note: There are known PA problems with Unicode chars in some cases.

The issue with UNICODE files in RAR archive will be fixed in Beta 3. Beta 3 will do a lot of changes in support for special filenames inside archives (RAR and 7-ZIP are supporting UNICODE, others are supporting ANSI filenames), so please test carefully everyting you might think…

File name seems ok when opening the archive but when tested it looks like ??? still.

The file is tested ok but this part of application still doesn’t support displaying UNICODE fully - like some other formats and some other parts of PA (shell. extensions and unicode archive names).

This version added some more support for UNICODE but more and more every new version - 10.5 will fully supprot unicode, I hope:)
