Password Manager Question

  • After playing around with the program for awhile, I discovered the password manager is only for files that are created Powerarchiver.

I have thousands of zipped and rar files that have different passwords, I was hoping the the password manager would save all my passwords for those files, so I could test and access all my files without have to enter the passwords one at a time.

Is there anyway to edit or create the *.PAE file for my existing files???

    Thanks…

    Hi,

Password manager should work for all files, once they are opened in PowerArhiver and you used your password. It can not automatically know what the password is, until you enter it once.

The PAE files are archives that have been encrypted using PA’s encryption tool (AES).
So to create - use the “encrypt” option on an existing zip file.
You cannot edit the PAE files.

Note: they are not used for storing passwords in the “password manager”.
