Missing Icons

Using PA2006b4 & Win98SE

The “View” feature doesn’t work. It won’t launch the external viewer. It only works when using the internal viewer. When trying to look at a text file, PA won’t launch notepad. When trying to look a a gif, PA won’t launch IE.

Works on Win XP.
On Win98 is this with all archives (Zip, BH, Cab, 7z, Tar.xx) or only specific format(s)?

Don’t know about the others. I’ve only tried it with .zip archives.

No, it doesn’t work when I doubleclick on the text file within the .zip archive. What view option? The View button on the toolbar.

If you right click on the file> View… you will get View options.

Doubleclicking on the file doesn’t do anything. The hdd chatters a little like its reading the file, but it doesn’t open anything. The view button worked in PA2004 on my computer, but this version doesn’t.
I used the VIEW button on the toolbar, not rightclick.

i can comfirm this on windows 98 and 2000 the view wither from the shell extension inside pa or by double clicking fails to work.
