What are the benefits of this service?

As noted on their page, they have servers around the world, so when you are downloading files, you actually download them from the server closest to you and obviously that improves your downloading speed a lot.

What exactly do you mean? Yes, since most of downloads are not on our server, it of course reduces our own server load/traffic. However, that is not really the reason we use it - its advantage is that your users are getting the files reliably and as fast as possible.
