Trayicon remains after extraction
-
The PA Trayicon is still there even if the extraction of an archive is complete. You have to click on the PA trayicon, so it will disappear
-
What exactly are you extracting? Or does it not matter?
More info please…
-
PA icon in the tray could only left if you clicked on “Tray” while extracting and the extraction finished - but in this case a ballon showed up saying “Extraction of … finished. Click here…” and it would stay until you click on ballon or the PA icon itself.
-
is it possible that the ballon showed up for a few seconds and then the trayicon will vanish
-
PowerArchiver tray icon + ballon should disappear after some time - please wait for about 15 seconds and you should see.
-
I waited 15 seconds.
The ballon dissappear but the trayicon remains in tray
-
Hm, is this happening from main PA window or when using explorer shell extensions?
-
it happens on both
-
I cant reproduce it on my computer, however it takes around 30-40 secs of baloon&icon to dissapear (not only on PA - Windows baloons as well).
-
I can reproduce it on Win2k - I thought it was a feature !
Extract via shell and click on tray button.
On finishing the ballon shows, do nothing and the ballon disappears.
Still do nothing and tray icon stays - letting me know that extraction completed.
So, to me, I can go for a coffe and on return I can hover over icon and see which file I was working on :DNote 1: Just tried on win98 and didn’t get the balloon - but the tray icon remained until clicked. Just testing but waited over three minutes after unzipping completed (although hover tooltip stopped at 99% complete)
Note 2: In both cases I have taskbar on “Auto-Hide” - is that relevant?
-
Icon still there on Win98 - now 20 minutes (I like this) :D
-
Might be connected with Auto Hide, will check this - I am not sure if this is an Windows feature that PA follows or do we actually make the icon dissapear after a while…
thanks,

Behaviour differes in different versions of Windows. I am not sure if we have ability to control it. We will check it a bit more for 9.2.
