Error when extracting tar files
-
I get the following error when trying to extrat some tar files:
“Invalid argument to date encode”
I’m using 9.00.35
-
Please post the link to those files so we can test it, one possible problem might be that you have not restarted your system after PA installation and PA is still using old dll.
thanks,
-
I have a clean i install of PA, I can’t post a link to the file because its fairly large and its not on a website.
-
I suppose you got this message while opening some TAR files - in this case it will be fixed in next release.
Thanks!
-
I hope so and soon because I have many tar files I cannot extract.

I love how you guys respond so fast and offer new builds to fix problems, unfortunately, this new build still doesn’t allow me to extract some of my tar files without getting that “invalid argument to date encode.” I should note that WinRAR extract the file fine. It is an 85MB file if you want me to upload it somehwhere so you can try extracting it?

Do you have by any chance smaller tar file that doesnt work? is it tar or tar.gz/bz2? If it is tar only, maybe compress it with 7zip and then send it to us?
You can email us at support@conexware.com with more info on the file and how to send it.
thanks,

Ya, its MP3s so it won’t compress well or at all for that matter. I wish I had something small to send you but I don’t. I guess I will just have to wait until this problem can be investigated in full or reported by more people.

send the files to them by post or zip it up and slpit them .

you would have to get on irc, go to efnet, and the channel is #lair. Just download a random album which will be a .tar.
