I don’t know why that’s happening for you to be honest and don’t recall reading any similar report.
Best wait for one of the devs to see this thread as I’m sure they will get you sorted.Or you can contact support here.

Generally there hasnt been a single instance where codes were “bad” in past few years so doublecheck everything… and of course, you can contact support as usual and get pretty fast response.
thanks.

ok guys,
my version installed is 13.00.20 from 06/2012.
i downloaded this code from the shop:“PowerArchiver 2012 - Personal - International
Version 13.00 released Jun 1, 2012”when i open registering and enter this code, everytime again he ask me for trial or registering.
i think i will deinstall and reinstall the version 2011.
-
so i did a complete uninstall, cleaned up my registry,re-installed version 13, received a new key,and result is that it do not work. every start of the program i have to re-enter my key. pretty frustrating

Please do contact support Marc

If that is the registration code you received, please copy/paste it into PA 2012, it should register just fine.
No reason for it not to work. -

MickeHi Micke!
PA 2012 is still in Beta stage while we put some finishing touches on it :) -

Yeah right. It’s the same drama every year. A new version of PA comes out, you’ve got several serials to pick from, and you don’t know which one’s gonna do it until you tried them all out.
In my case I had a PA 2010 standard international license and just upgraded to PA 2011 standard using the PA 2011 legacy (!) code. I had to have 3 codes resend and try them out. I’m sick of it. If every software supplier spoon-feeded me in this manner … 'nuff said, so dear ConexWare license managers please give me a break and do sort out your license codes, instead of having your customers do so - thank you.
btw, another captcha for posting a reply, is this really necessary? You need to re-learn the art of keeping things simple! -.-

well you are welcome to send us 2011 or 2012 codes that dont work and IF they really dont work, we will give you 10 licenses for free :-).
We do understand that people are impatient and that they dont have time to read things, so every time someone sends an email to support that code doesnt work, we try it out ourselves to verify that it does (or doesnt).
So if you have an problem, quick email to support and you will be helped, fast.
-
p.s. captcha goes away after few posts, unfortunately a lot of spam bots these days want to post all kinds of crap, we wouldnt have implemented it unless it was necessary as I personally hate it.

ok … now I’ve calmed down a bit. The registration was successful, I was just surprised that I needed to enter a serial clearly marked as legacy for a current product version. As I see people struggling here … apparently what’s going on is the label had been printed and the tin isn’t ready yet ;)
Anyway, I think software could be protected in a less bothersome way, like in-product-activation online for example. I have software pieces on my machine that have seen several major updates over the years, and I just need my original order number to re-activate it.
And your support team would be relieved of all those “my license doesn’t work” type of emails too.
Sorry for my temper, it’s late at night here and the day was a bit too long :)

this is what usually happens :-). We completely understand it though.
Reason it says Pro Legacy is that Pro has less features now, but since you purchased it before we give you features than new Pro versions dont have.
Online activation wouldnt be possible because of several factors, one of them being the fact that you are likely to use PA on not-connected computer and then it would suck :-). Plus you would still have to enter some kind of license. And we have people using PA since 2001, so cost of providing free updates would go up if we had to provide online servers for activation for 20 year period, all for the one-time price. It is very different with Antivirus as they charge per year.
We always try to improve the process but there is always going to be someone that does it too fast and doesnt copy the code properly, and who has time to read all those messages, right? :-). Which is why we try to be patient when someone yells at us… not many do actually!
I hope you enjoy improvements in new PA 2012.
thanks!

ok, i’m back, finally, after a lot of installs and de-installs the software is accepting my license code. but if i want to make a backup the programm tells me that the pro features are deactivated. altough i have a pro version. and why do the programm version 12.12 do an update to 13.00.20 (which is still beta) when i activated “only check for official version” ???

email support to check your account:
http://www.powerarchiver.com/support/maybe you have both standard and pro in your account so you clicked on PA 2012 Standard codes? Support can sort it out since they can easily see whats in your account.
As to the update - during the process, we decide when upcoming version is better than old official one and then we put it on update. So you dont have to wait for things like website changes for instance, which official version needs.
