Solved 2024

Will you be releasing 2024 soon?

No news, bad news.

Have been a customer since 2021 when I stumbled across PowerArchiver on a review. Tried it out and was surprised by the number of files JPEG, ARW (Sony RAW Image), MP3 and many others that it could compress far beyond any other compression formats. I have enjoyed using it. I hope the company is not done but if so hats off to the work you did.

Thanks for being a customer :)
I wouldnt write PowerArchiver 2024 off the map, it’s mearly april 2024. I’ve known PowerArchiver to go months and then throw out a major release before today.
But I cant say whats going on currently its been a long time since I’ve been involved with the Alpha/Beta and Major Releases, im surprised im still in the credits.
Furthermore, in all honesty there isnt much to do with PA, it still works and still supports the majority of compression formats. I think it’s fair to let them cash in slow down a bit then rethink where they want to invest with R&D etc.

@RJWaring I understand, but it would be good if:
(1) someone from ConeXware/PowerArchiver responded to some of these messages to at least say hello
(2) the website copyright information had been updated - it currently shows “Copyright © 1998-2023 ConeXware, Inc.”
Even if these is “nothing much to do” it would be useful to know if any bugs or potential security issues that may come along will be fixed. -

I also wonder what‘s going on at Conexware, especially as there is even no sign of a portable version of 2023.

I’ve been a user for about 10 years. Something changed about a year ago when response times and releases slowed down. Not sure we will see a 2024 release, but certainly hope we do.

I’ve managed to get in touch with Ivan, the main developer. See https://forums.powerarchiver.com/topic/6661/news-update-on-powerarchiver-connexion-in-2024
