Spanning to DVD

I had a 6 Gb zip I needed to span over 2 DVD’s.

When using the Write Multi-Volume ZIP tool I choose the DVD option, however it turned out that the zip was still too big to burn to a DVD.

I tried setting the size in kb’s but that didn’t seem to work either.

What did I do wrong ?

try re-creating the zip file with proper sizes, instead of splitting existing one. Does that work?

yes, but the point is that setting the option to DVD actually gives you zips that are to big for a DVD.

what size did you try to set for dvd’s manually? And what size of zip file did you end up with?
