I really, really hate managing passwords this way. I understand that it provides at least a minimum amount of security for new passwords, but your eight-character random password is pretty damned minimum, and is transmitted in plain-text via email. That is, frankly, unacceptable on the internet as a standard practice.
It also makes those of us who go out of our way to do things like use random password managers that actually are strong grumpy. I came here to install a stronger password of 20 characters. And of all things I discover that the only explicit password reset mechanism is via the “lost password” link on the login page rather than the account maintenance page.
(C’mon… You clearly understand encryption strength having made this product already…)

Only security issue with CX account would be someone getting your password from us that you used on other websites as well, and thus using it to hack your other accounts that maybe have some important info or money.
There is nothing important on your CX account and guessing random password is nearly impossible.
But sure, if you guys want we could make it so you can change your password. Our worry is that for 99% of the users, this is going to be less secure because they will just use their kids name or something like that.

From 9/18 you can change the password to your conexware account… please check it out and let us know if it works fine. Thank you!

Since there was a product update, I logged in tonight to get the latest code. Seeing my pathetically simple password, I wanted to change it. But, I could not find a way to change it.
I searched the forums and found this post saying that as of 9/18, there is a way. But, I sure as heck can’t find it. :-(
Where can one change the shop account password? The only option I see is to change the email address.
