New Windows 8.1 Tablets/PCs with new Atom's Z3xxx
-
Hello Everyone,
I hope you had nice holidays… I recently noticed these new tablets with full Windows 8.1, and new Atom Z3xxx CPUs.
Does anyone here have one?
Basically, they are replacements for old-school Netbooks (crap) and new tablets, all in ones.
They are pretty affordable, from €249 in Europe.
Here is one review:

I neither have the time, the money,or the inclination for such ‘crap’ BOSS…:D
anything that imitates windows 8 is a ‘No No’ with me I’m afraid. -
I dont mind the idea of tablets. However, I did have one a while back and it was pants! It became too slow, too buggy and when you look at the price you could save up a few more months and buy yourself a reasonable Laptop.
Tablets are getting better and i have no doubt eventually “everyone” will have them. Just like smart phones! it will become normal to have a smart tab!

I don’t have, need nor want one if I’m honest.

Yep! Pretty much my thoughts.

You’re going to have to buy me one then if that’s the case. :p

there are basically Laptops that look like Tablets…. so they have full Windows 8.1 that you can run PA on, and full desktop mode… most of them have optional (or standard) keyboard and you can simply detach the screen.
Atom versions have no fans and are quite fast quad core CPUs.
You can also connect them to big screen and keyboard and simply run them as desktop when you are back home :-)

Wouldn’t it make more sense just to buy a decent laptop to begin with than having to connect it to a proper keyboard and display.
I like my tech and gadgets but tablets are something I just don’t get or see the need for.

well, tablets are selling like crazy :-)
and these, unlike cheap chinese ones running android, are with proper windows and are basically proper laptops that can be detached to be used as tablets basically.
so it gives you best of both worlds…
In general, tablets are good for watching movies/tv, playing simple touch games and reading internet… Laptops are better at playing real games, and doing work / using more complicated applications.
This way you can have tablet for enjoying your media and still be compatible with great Windows applications, such as PowerArchiver :-)

One Direction songs sell like crazy, doesn’t make them any good though. ;)

Definitely not aimed at me then, couldn’t think of a worse use for one.

Finally a good thing. :D
