"Class not registered" when extracting in Windows Explorer
-
I started receiving this error message today when extracting zip and rar files through shell integration. (Haven’t tried others) The only solutions on this forum were to make sure that the file extensions were associated with Powerarchiver, which they are.
The error message first appears, and then clicking ok will bring up the Powerarchiver extract dialog with some strange buttons…

you need to re-install PowerArchiver, that should make it work fine.

Re-install didn’t work, but an uninstall/clean install did.

ok, cool - sometimes something else messes up dll registration (in this case for shell extensions).
thanks - closing.
