Misbehaving Preview window

I can’t seem to get the Preview window to behave nicely in PA 2011 RC1 (12.00.37). Here’s how I’d like things to be laid out:

did you try setting defaults? options> reset to defaults… then try to set it the way you want it.

Thanks for looking into this. Here are a couple more data points:

using “options> reset to defaults” doesn’t seem to help
if I set the preview window to go all the way across the bottom it seems to stick (but I’m not 100% sure how reliably). This is a workaround that makes things usable (of course you guys should still pursue a real fix).

since it is easily reproducible, it shouldnt be hard to fix in RC3.
