Saw your impressive credentials for cnet/download. I have a Sony phone which has save my contacts in a .dbk file. I was wondering if your program supports opening this type of archive.[FONT="Comic Sans MS

According to this wireless forum post these are Zip format files.
So PA should be able to open them.
However, I don’t have one to check. -
worst being worst, just rename it to zip and it will work :)

as requested a while back by me, it would be nice if you can associate different extensions to archivies so you can open them without having to rename them for pa to open them. For emple this fiole is a zip file with a different extension.

The the Current Winzip Pro has the ability to Specify Alternative Zip Extentions, but only gives the option for one.
So it is deffenetly worth considering adding this to PowerArchiver Toolbox Edition but do one better and enable Multiple Alternative’s.

just a little thing to mention an older version of powerarchiver in the days when it was free had the ability to detect if the file extension was correct for the archive format. why not bring that back too
