seems to me all you guys are putting a converted archive in a folder thats already on your pc or are using the new folder button on the archive i have not used any of that i have just specified in the path the folder that does not exist on my pc and i want pa to craete that foleder using the path details

I did it exactly the way you described David…tested it several times and couldn’t replicate your problem.

Same here. Tried a few times and a new folder created every time.

i should of mentioned that i wqas using the convert tool from the menu.
Basically i open up the convert menu and specify a folder for the converted archive to go to and as the folder does niot exist it sayes so what it used to do was ask if you wanted to dreate the folder before the conversion took place.
Works fine (new folder/new subfolder) for me; both in GUI and via shell.
However, I only have one drive to test with so let me ask; is your problem with new folder on same drive as PA or on a second disk / network drive? -
I tested that scenario on a second drive Terry and it too worked fine for me.

could it be a permissions issue as i only used windows 2000 and had an update from microsoft for securitry recenly

in anycase shouldn’t it ask you for permission by a dialog box if it can or would you like it to create a new folder. my computer has several delphi programs that i have scince found conflict with each other.

apologise if no one else can replicate it exactly could be something to do with my computers setup i’m using windows 2000
