PPMd in 7-Zip

When setting the 7-Zip profile there’s an PPMd option (for text), but that it’s not very clear. Will it use it automatically when detecting text or by enabling it will force it and probably get a worst compression?

It doesn’t auto-detect.
Activate it if you are compressing text file(s), don’t activate it for other types. -
You’re right. I did some tests and found it forces PPMd by enabling that option. It would be nice to have it enabled automatically like WinRAR does.

that depends on 7zip engine… right now, it is not automatic.
