Backing up
-
Is it possible to back up a folder which contains sub-folders so that the archive contains folders and sub-folders rather than just lumping all the files in one big and confusing archive?
-
yes, you should always have paths in backup? In main PA, make sure you didnt enable no paths option…

I haven’t been able to find the NO PATHS option in the main PA. Are you referring to “Do Not Store Paths” (and the other two options) which are at the bottom of the window when you are creating a job? Does this mean that, while the archive doesn’t show individual folders, files will be extracted to their individual folders if Store With Full Paths is selected?

depending on what kind of view is selected, you will see either folders, or folder info stored under Path column in file list inside archive.
You can change view to Explorer View and it will probably work as you want it.
