Every time I try to enter password the same error: incorrect password.I had this happen to me before. It was explained to me that unless you know the exact password, you will not be able to access the zip file.

-
The password is 8 characters long. Unfortunately the content of the file is too much confidential.
I’ll try to reproduce the error so maybe I can send you something. -
you should be able to reproduce it, try same/similar password with similar file (size, file type, filename).
that would help us a lot!
-
Also, is this file created with PA 2009 or some older version?

The file is dated 24/06/2007 so could be created with a version before the PA 2009.
-
can you please try reproducing it…. we have to reproduce it to fix it!

I too had several password protected zip files for which the latest beta would not extract when given the correct password. Reinstalling the last version (11/03/04) corrected the problem.
-
we fixed the issue - it was with encrypted archives created with PA 2007 and earlier… will be fixed in beta 3

Good! I wasn’t able to reproduce the error because I haven’t got anymore the old “right” version.

I also have an archive that opens with WinZip12, and which used to open in PA2009 (and PA2008). I have reproduced this problem in a sample archive and have attached it for inspection.

that was fixed in upcoming release as well :-)
Good answer – but that will be updated when? I have been limping along since April 1st by using an evaluation version of WinZip12.
Is version 11.50.37 not a production release?

Got it. I had apparently checked the beta and official auto update option. The splash screen for 2010 doesn’t say “beta” and the “about” version didn’t have any “beta” so I didn’t twig that it was beta. I do now see that the install package says “b2.” I have downgraded to the v9.
Thanks for the guidance.
