-
Hello,
when i start my backup.pbs (works perfect with PA2009) i get this error message with PA2010:
“Access violation ad address 004EC7FA in module
PABACKUP.EXE. read of address 00000000.”With the backup.pbs i back up 370MB and 3000 files (Windows XP).
-
are you updating backup archive or what exactly are you doing?
thanks!

well without more info it is hard to know whats going on… you can try this interim version and see if that changes anything:

Info after a test:
The interim version produces the same error.
-
I couldn’t reproduce this error so need more information.
1. when does this error show up - during compressing (which is the last file) or before compressing starts (preparing phase)?
2. is this error with all scripts you have or with this specific - if with this specific, can you please try removing some files and see if it works?
3. turn on logging and send us back output log file.
4. try just changing destination archive name (from backup.zip to something else) - to see if there is maybe some problem with update in this case. -
Please check your issue with latest 11.50.30 release:
http://dl.powerarchiver.com/2010/powarc1150b1.exeand let us know if this works better now.
thanks!

With this latest version i cannot reproduce the error anymore…
Seems to work now correctly. =)
(Only difference between 2009 and 2010 i recognized during test:
when the message appears that the backup is ready, with 2009 i could click on it and then scroll through the backuped files, when i click the message in 2010 all PA windows are closed instantly…) -
you should be able to see your backup now after you click on ok, with beta 2. thanks
