Optimize docx/oo2 doesnt work on x64?
-
This feature is still not working for me.
Dell XPS 720
Vista 64 BitIt’s enabled (I selected the option as part of the context menu) yet it will not work on either .doc or .docx files. It simply does not show up in the right click menu for any file format mentioned above or any other format.
What am I doing wrong here?

Hi
Good news and a question
I can confirm that this is now working for docx files (The option shows up and compression does take place).
Files open with no problems.
BUT…
Was this feature supposed to work with .doc files too (office 2003 and before) or just the newer docx format? Right now it does not show up when you right click on a .doc file.
I do not have/use openoffice 2 so I do not know if it works with that.

it only works with office 2007 and open office files - those are all zip archives, PA re-compresses them using stronger compression.

Thanks :)

Hi
One more question regarding this issue :D
The process that powerarchiver goes through when it optimizes the file is displayed in a window and it scrolls very quickly. Once the operation is completed, a message box pops up and once you click on “Ok” PA closes down.
Is there a way for me to see what the process in that window is? PA closes instantly and there is no way to go back to view this.
Thanks :D
