RAR support and slow loading?

Title says all.
BTW: Does anybody think that PowerArchiver start slow? always when I start it so I have to wait like 3-5seconds then appear window about trial and I have to click to agree then it is fast.
My computer is enough fast start it to 1second - C2D - E8400 - 3GHz, 4GB ram, Windows Vista 64bit.
Where could be problem?

Welcome to PowerArchiver forums!
just search forums and you will find a lot duplicate threads about full rar support.
The short answer is: PowerArchiver does NOT support creation of RAR archives and this is no planned. No other utility except WinRAR itself can create rar files.
But PowerArchiver includes 7z format witch outperforms rar compression rates.try disabling skins to make PowerArchiver to load faster…

Thank you for answer.
I tried all skins and no change, still I have to wait 5seconds sometime even more to load it. It isn’t very comfortable when I want to extract archive and I have to wait 5sec and more to load it then click to Agree and then it starts extracting.
Where is a problem? :/ It’s very serious.

An alternate (and quicker method) is to use the shell extensions from Windows Explorer :D

Quicker maybe, but not so comfortable :)

what version of PA do you have? PA should not start in 3-5 seconds, on your compter it should start under 1 second.
What Antivirus do you have?

if explorer view is open, it might delay start if startup folder is full of files/folders…

If you talk about Folder browser which can be enabled/disabled with “Folders” button so.
I close it and now it starts ok, but it’s weird, because when I open random archive so explorer shows only that file so show only one file in explorer shouldn’t take so long.

change your startup folder in config> folders to something simple as C:\test…
it seems right now your startup folder is folder which might take few seconds to load in explorer view and hence the delay?

I did, but It opens that folder, but whole folder tree is still extracted and I can’t change default folder for it. It uses Desktop.
