SFX seems to be broken in 2009
-
Hi all,
I searched the forums (just for ‘sfx 2009’) but found no hits, first want to ask, is this the correct place to log bugs for the 2009 beta?
I downloaded (and upgraded) my PA this morning and then wanted to make a SFX archive. Here are the steps:
- Open SFX wizard
- Type in a name for the archive
- Click ‘Add folder’ and add a folder with sub-folders
- Select ‘Include subfolders’ and click next
- Tick ‘Store relative…’ and untick ‘Ask to execute and test…’, click Next
- In the default unzip-to, enter a registry value and additional folder, e.g. HKLM\Software\Product\location|folder
- Select always overwrite
- Enter a caption, Next
- Make SFX
The problem is that the archive is created but it is empty (only 52kB size). When I add files the SFX is correct. Is this a known problem?

When will the SFX problem be fixed?
just of curiousity, are you David’s cousin?

No, I’m just beta testing the new software to reproduce the issue.

No, I’m just beta testing the new software to reproduce the issue.
in that case, once we test it, and find an fix, we will release new version which will contain fix info… just like with every other bug.
