Pa2006 9.64.01
-
Hi Sir Richard,
please notice that this problem is reported from at least 12-05-2006 (beginning of this thread) and it’s the first time I hear that it’s a known problem. Previous answers where “iso format have changed”… 18 months, this is not really “ASAP”… I like PA, and it’s pitty for me that I have to change it…
I can tell you what I know. I cant tell you it will be fixed tomorrow, because it wont.
If ISO support under Vista is crucial, then right now PA is not the tool for you. I can only apologize but that wont make fix come any sooner. I hope all the other features make it up for you. ISO support was always an added benefit for PA, it is not our main feature (which is why tools like WinIso and others exist).
thanks,
-
p.s. we do appreciate when people complain, because thats how we know that those features matter to them. We will tripple check ISO feature again to make sure there is nothing we can do ASAP (and before PA 2008).
-
another example of the speedy reponse we get from PA’s developers. :o)
-
so, there will be some happy users tomorrow I think
:-).
-
And here we go:
http://www.powerarchiver.com/test/release10/powarc1021a10.exeThis should fix this issue. Please confirm.
thank you!

if you went back to xp and no problems with thoses iso’s but in vista you have then i suspect that its a fault of vista and a conflict with pa’s iso function. As stated before winiso is deigned to work with all types of iso standard and non standard. Pa is not at fault here it is vista and having been a developer of microsoft products i can assure you that pa proably aren’t getting enough advice from microsoft on vista to ensure they can fix all the bugs straigh away, like some other companies are. Please be patient and it will be fixed.

This versions shows great improvements! Thx very much! something curious: when you drag and drop one file, it is created in a sub-folder with subfolder same name as a file… but the extracted file seems correct ! You are on the right way !
-
are you sure that file didnt have path like that? I tested it here, seems to work fine?
thanks,
-
Hi, I tried diffent situations, and if my iso file contain this files:
\test1.txt
\subdir1\test2.txt
\subdir2\test3.txtafter extraction, the result will be
D:_PAxxx\test1.txt
D:\subdir1\test2.txt
D:\subdir2\test3.txtwhere xxx is a random number.
This occurs when I use the drag and drop of the files, but no problem if I use the extract command (icon), and select the same destination for selected files
Thx for your help
-
it seems to be an issue with drag and drop in classic view… thanks!
-
should be fixed, please re-download rc2 and check it out.
thanks!
-
Well done! It is fixed in ver 10.21.17
