Zip Icon

Is there a way to change the current icon(s) for PA files. I kinda think the defaults are ugly.

You can change icons by choosing different skins…

Thanks very much. That did it. Another question if I can, is there any way to configure PA so that I don’t have to view the button for recent archives? That takes up a lot of space with virtually every skin.

In PowerArchiver, right click on the toolbar and choose “Select Buttons” - you can add or remove each button.
P.S. Recent Archives ?? Do you mean Favorites or something else?

Open an archive. You’ll see what I mean. The archive you just opened will be added to the archive history. When things are added to that history there is a bitton that is added to the toolbar right next to the open button. That button allows you to open any archive that you’ve recently opened. It’s this button that I’m talking about. It is quite large, regardless of the skin in use. If this history is erased the button disappears.

Sorry, but I do not get a button added to the toolbar
I’m using Default Skin, are you?
Explorer View or Classic?
Maybe post a screenshot?Hopefully someone will know what it is….

If you go to tools < clear history the button (that is actually a part of the open button) goes away.

Ahh, in the default skin that drop-down arrow is part of the Open Button - it is not seperate.
Must a “feature” of the skin(s).

Thanks MarFou that’ll help a lot. I keep having to expan PAs toolbar to make room for that button. But what I really want to know is: is there a way to turn off that reature so that histort, and consequently that button, never gets created? I find that features useless.
