Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Uha support

winuha is has better compresion reatiojn than rar, zip and some tmes 7zip when will u support it
-
I don’t think it makes sense, if PA support every archive format in the internet. It is sufficient, if the mossst important are supoorted
-
true but this is the best archive formnat about if you don’t include 47zip as well and is better tahn rar and we support rar right?
-
PA supports RAR because it is more spreaded than UHA and 7Zip ;)
-
i can not write rar files with pa due to licences agreement. But i can uha files if pa supports it and its better compression format than rar and sometimes 7zip
-
When it becomes little bit more commonly used we shall definetelly consider its support.
For 9.5, UHA support is not planned, but we shall consider it for future version. It there are good reasons to support it, we shall consider.
This post should go to “Wishlist” forum.

I agree with davidsplash that UHARC is good.
It has both usable speed and fine compression.
Over 300.000 downloads of a gui like WinUHA
-even when it did not have SFX -modules then-
are reason for support. And isn’t it fitting for
PowerArchiver to go with the better algorithms out there?
So I welcome it that you want to consider it. :) -
the new uha vrsion 0.6 is out and now has a sfx module 56K upx compressed. Just been using the program Winuha and comparing results with 7-zip for fun.
results are pretty good extra 3-6% compression ratio to 7-zip. using similar memory.
better than rar
