Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Solved Fast Extract large files directly to target directory
-
Hi.
I would like to see a new feature implemented: a ‘Fast Extract’ Mode.
Currently PowerArchiver extracts files to a temporary directory and then moves them to the target directory chosen by the user. At least via drag and drop.
This can be both time consuming and needs free space on the system drive for large files.
Is there a way to directly extract files to the target directory with PowerArchiver?
And if not, can a feature like this be considered for future updates? Thanks very much!

i also entered a wish for PA 2020 for favorite folders to show everywhere so it will be easier to use… otherwise only D&D uses copy and that is because we wanted to use native Windows function for UAC, and every other part of extract uses direct extraction and will elevate UAC when needed. Thanks!

hi @2Flo , any option but drag and drop? try extact button dropdown and then MRU (it will save your MRU).

Hi.
Sorry for the late response.
I will try your suggestion and see how it goes.
Thank you! -
