I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Sfx tool to tell file format
-
would like a tool that can tell you if a exe file is actually a sfx file. This could be a rar sfx or a zip etc. very usefull when informing people how to open the file.
-
I’ve always hoped that “Test Archive” would do that !!
And not just for sfx files. -
interesting!
keep in mind you can always right click an SFX file and if PA recognizes it as an SFX, you will receive extract options in shell extensionsPA recognizes most SFXs
-
Maybe, but the “Test/Information” function should also identify those NOT supported by PA (i.e. as many as possible)
-
yes but this should be either automatic or how it was when pa was freeware
-
As they implemented by suggestion on change of languages of the program could they agian look at irfanview and see how they handle file extensions that are wrong ie people who rename a zip to something else bgut it is actually a zip
