I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
I want to be able to create Spanned 7z archives…
you have to wait until the 7zip author implemented Multi Volume Support for 7ZIp archives
But 7z source code is available at http://7-zip.org/
Maybe PA Developers can implement Multi Volume Support…
yes but /ip still doesn’t support Multi Volume, so the PA authors can’t implement it.
but as you can see the Multivolume support is on the roadmap of 7Zip
New compression methods for multimedia data
Ports to other platforms
no problem ;)
7-Zip 4.14 beta now support
Multi Volume archvies ;)
Hope the next PA release will support it!
we still have to wait until 7zip has reached Final status.
then I think PA can support it ;)
hopefully by the time 9.5 is worked on… right now it is pretty buggy.
OK. I’ll wait… :)
By that time,
7-zip may really replace much of zip and/or rar market…. because of its compressibility and features…
Glad to learn that soon…
If the directionary and the system resources for compression can be variably manipulated, users can choose the one tha fits them best. Of course, there’s a default for users with no preference. ;)
