I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
PACL for Linux

I would love to have PA Command Line in Linux, especially the capability to extract RAR files, for which I have not yet found a good solution (except shareware that I would rather not pay for since I already paid for PowerArchiver). At present I use Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Netbook Remix Edition.

Hello,
what’s wrong with the unrar cmd? wich by the way is a freeware cl tool. and can be installed via apt-get in ubuntu (the unrar-free or the unar(-nonfree) Editions)

I didn’t know about unrar-free. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve tried out unrar-free and it doesn’t work for all the RAR archives I’m dealing with. Several other free programs also failed, but the shareware program succeeded (except it didn’t get Chinese filenames correct). I know it’s a long shot but it would be really nice to have PACL for Linux, especially if it can properly extract Chinese filenames within any RAR archive.
