I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Queue - add support for extracting specific files from archive
-
Hi all,
Long time PA user, but recently noticed an issue which is getting really annoying.
I’m trying to add an item to the queue , but in my particular case I only want to extract a single file from the archive. So I select the single file, right-click and select ‘Extract…’. In the extract dialog I then have ‘Selected files’ checked, but when I click on ‘Add to Queue’, the files option changes from ‘Selected files’ to ‘All files’. The result of which is that I can no longer extract a single file. In this case the ‘Do not extract pathnames’ is also ignored, even though it’s selected. Unselecting ‘Add to Queue’ results in the files option moving back to ‘Selected files’ again…! Grrrr…!! This is getting so annoying. I’m now finding that the queue is a complete waste of time to use if I can’t add extracts to the queue if I only want to extract a single file.
I’m sure it never used to work like this, and has only been introduced recently by an update.
My version details - 11.61.07 (12/2009) running on Windows 7 32-bit.
Mike.

moved it to wishlist, changed the title… thanks!

Is this really a wishlist item though? I could be wrong, but I’m almost sure that this was not the default behaviour in the previous version, in which case this is a bug.

as much as I know/remember, queue never supported extracting specific files from archive… i dont even think that our current scripts we use for queue support this, so this would be major addition.

Okay, thanks for clarifying that for me. I’ll be eagerly awaiting this being added to the next version.
