Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)
I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption

Is it possible to add a jumplist option to PA that contains the tools like burner, etc.
I have PA added to the start menu but is contains no jumplist.
-
currently when you add PA.exe to the taskbar, it adds MRU for archives and backups, it doesnt add one for burner yet…I think there might be limitation on how many items we can put there, we need to check.
-
I would like the same style as steam does in the start menu.
-
no clue what it means… PA has full blown jumplist menu, expand it to 16 items to see everything.
-
this is what I mean. It’s the start menu. I do not have PA in the Taskbar.
-
Seems to be connected to a checkbox in the taskbar properties. I had this turned of. You can close the thread.
-
can we get screenshot of PA jumplist in full force? its pretty!
-
here it is in all it’s glory

strange guido…I’ve been unable to get it to display like that even after using the virtual drive.

you are not cool, boss :-).
so what displays at your side?
-
I can get it to display ‘recent’ files such as the archives I’ve used but it fails to show the virtual drive or the burner even after I’ve used them.
tried several times to achieve ‘guido’s’ look but yet to have success…I’ll experiment some more today.

you need to expand your number of items on jumplists to 16 if you want to show full jumplist
-
still no luck upto now and it is at 16…strange thing is even after having over a dozen archives open and several virtual drives and burning it still refuses to show…wonder if another setting in PA is preventing it maybe?..I’ll play some more during the day.
-
it might be that it does not recognize you as pro user for some reason, we will figure it out tomorrow…
-
this is all I can get to show no matter what I try…
opened 30+ archives and added several virtual drives but still only shows the 4 recent files used…damned if I can get it to do anything more and I’ve rechecked the settings in w7. -

-
maybe you disabled jumplists? dont know… thats not jumplist ;-)
-
no…haven’t disabled them in any way…it’s a wierd one this but I can live with basic operation I guess.
tried everything I can think of but same result each time. -
what does your internet explorer jumplist look like? screenshot?
-
IE Jumplist…
-
are both checkboxes under Taskbar> Start Menu> Privacy checked?
-
yes…tried them with tick and without.
-
you need to test it with taskbar jumplists, not with start menu jumplists… it seems as if start menu jumplists dont get updated at the same time you change options, but taskbar ones do.
