Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats?
    A

Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)

    Optimize archive on Context Menu
    W

I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.

Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption

If I mark several spanned archives in the explorer and try to use the “Extract here” function of the Explorer contextmenu, PA always says “please open the first part of the spanned archive”, if it tries to open the part of the archive which is not the first part.

PA should be able to auto. recognize spanned archives, although the opened archies is not the FIRST archive of the spanned archive set like in WinRAR.

How is this an severe bug? First of all, it only happens in PA 6.xx spanned archives, which have all of the files marked as .zip (which is also why newer zip spanning formats dont), and I PowerArchiver does tell you where the issue is.

If anything it should go to the wishlist, since it would be an new feature, but hardly an earth shattering bug.

        thanks,

thanks for the fast answer spywolf ;)

It’s not just happens on spanned ZIP archives, also on spanned RAR archives. PA says, where the issue is, but it is still annoying to click away all those dialogboxes, especially if you have selected a large amount of spanned archives.

What happens when you select only one file/spanned archive?

              The same.

If I want to open a spanned archive like

              CR.part7.rar
              CR.part2.rar
              CR.part3.rar
              CR.part4.rar
              CR.part5.rar
              CR.part6.rar
              CR.part1.rar

I always have to select the first one for the “Extract Here” Command.
              In this case

              CR.part1.rar

It would be good, if it is uninportant which part you select, that PA can auto. see, that e.g. part 6 and part 3 are part of ONE spanned archive.

It was actually planned for 9.0, and was working fine in earlier alpha’s, I will see with Ivan why was it taken out of the final versions… (ability to select any rar multivolume and PA would automatically open first).

                  thanks,
