I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.
Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption
Split file and add to archive
-
Hello,
I’m not sure if this has been requested before but i would love to have a feature that enables you to split a file into several parts and automatically convert them into an archive format specified. -
Welcome!
Why not to use the Spanned Archive?
Just specify the size of each part under the “Multiple Disk Spanning" when creating a ZIP or 7-ZIP archive…
Thanks, -
how do i do that exactly?

If you use the Windows Explorer Shell Extensions for compressing files:
- Right click any file(s) you want to compress and span. > Choose Compress With Options from the context menu
- In the “Add” window you can find “Multiple Disk Spanning” options. From the list select the disk size you need or choose “Custom” and manually specify the size in kBytes…
If you use the Main PowerArchiver Windows for compressing:
- Create a “New” archive
- In the “Add” window you can find “Multiple Disk Spanning” options. From the list select the disk size you need or choose “Custom” and manually specify the size in kBytes.
-
You can also span already existing ZIP archive:
Choose “Write Multi-Volume ZIP…” from the Tools menu in the main PowerArchiver Window.
