Exclude Files

PA commandline has a feature to exclude files from adding to zip, I would like an equal feature for the gui tools.
I’m thinking on a text-box in “add with options” where file filters could get entered, as well as on a global exclude filter list and finally on a folder based configuration (text file or registry).
The filter should allow wildcards and maybe directories, eg:
*.ilk *.obj .tmp .#
Cvs* -
I’ve created an add dialog draft ;)
The excludes combo should contain a list of recently used filters (MRU).
Maybe the exclude label should be a checkbox to quickly disable all the excludes.

if and when we add the feature, we will probably have filters and other advanced features on different tab so it is easier to use for normal users.

This would be really handy to exclude .svn .git .hg folders for version control.

Ok, I have to admit! I’m sure i mentioned this in the past.
I think we discussed this in the alpha project team during the early days of 2011 and we wanted a really in depth tool for Backups so the user could select exactly what they wanted to be included & excluded during archive and export.
So again! i am glad someone from the outside brought this up!!
But my advise is something like this would be for Pro/toolbox users.
and maybe have a basic filter system in pro and more extensive in toolbox.

Same principle though :) the ability to filter in depth of what the user can search for, export and import regardless if it being a backup feature.
Regardless, it would be a nice feature to have! plenty a time have i wanted just to export or import .xls files in an archive but have had to manually search and do it.
